Monty's Revenge 2013

What's all this hype about Monty's Revenge?  Monty has been stomping around these hills since he was a young whipper snapper, still roams to this day. You won't ever see him, unless he wants ya to.  He's out there tending his Cock farm and shootin' big cats. So to honor Monty's perseverance as a hardman in the Ozarks, I have put together a little tour of his front and backyard.  GETCHASUM!!!

While my grand plans have been met with greater opposition, yours should not. So as the creative mind around this bicycle ride in the Ozarks, I have been over ruled by higher authority related to my attendance. My MOM said I cannot go. At least on this date.  My sister is gettin' hitched at last, and my attendance is mandatory...so said MOM.  Just because I cannot attend does not mean that you should let this opportunity to ride your bike in the Ozarks pass you by.  Don't go driving all the way to Western Arkansas to ride your bike at Ouachita.  Save the entry fee and gas money for future Ozark Rides ....like The Cedar Cross and MFXCIV(TBA).
I am providing the route map below with a link to the GPX file(ClickME).
Singletrack with hills, paved roads, highway, gravel road, MOAR Singletrack, Old forgotten single/double track, epic views of the Missouri Ozarks, and some smoking fast downhills.
Pick a date 4-??-13 what ever date you choose. Capture this via gpx/strava/jpeg...whatever....bragging rights are always available.  Race yourself.

A few words of caution.  This ain't your ordinary bike ride.  This is of Epic ProPortiOns! If you suck at riding your bicycle long distances, up and down hills for hours on end...Do NOT ATTEMPT THIS! It will suck!  Can you fix a broken anything on your bike?  How far can you walk?  This is remote singletrack nary a person to for miles and miles and the locals may or may not be friendly to lycra-clad cyclists with a bike more expensive than their car.  Cell Phone service will be minimal at best.  NO SERVICES are available on the route(ie..water from a tap, shitters, or food carts.)  You are on your own.  Be responsible for your own actions.  Be prepared for the worst of weather conditions. TAKE A MAP and know how to use it.
Knowing how to get to the top of Johnson Mtn via Enough Gravel would be a good thing.  PS>..Mandatory stop at the Bluff.  No stop = No credit.
